How do I use a gift card?

Using gift cards through Kigo is a convenient way to access and manage your rewards. Whether you're shopping in-store or online, here's a step-by-step guide on how to use your gift cards effectively.

Using unrevealed gift cards

Gift cards in an unrevealed state need to be revealed before they can be used. "Unrevealed" means that the gift card details have not yet been accessed

1. Select and View Gift Card Details: Navigate to your Kigo Wallet and select the gift card you wish to use. Click on the gift card to view its details and options.
2. Reveal the Gift Card: If the gift card is unrevealed, click the "Reveal gift card" button. A warning message will inform you that revealing the gift card cannot be undone. Confirm your readiness to proceed.
3. Proceed to Gift Card Certificate Webpage: After confirming, click "Continue." You will be directed to the gift card certificate webpage within an embedded browser, where you will find all the information needed to use the gift card in-store or online.
4. Use the Gift Card: Follow the instructions on the gift card certificate webpage to redeem your gift card at the merchant's location or on their website.
5. Gift Card State Update:Once you have accessed the gift card details, the card will be updated to a "revealed" state in your Kigo Wallet, indicating that the details have been accessed.
6. Access Gift Card Details Anytime: To access the gift card certificate webpage again, visit the detail page of the gift card in your Kigo Wallet and click "View gift card" to relaunch the embedded browser. If you no longer want the gift card to display in your Wallet, click "Hide reward from Wallet" to move it from your active Wallet to the Wallet archive.

Using revealed gift cards

Gift cards may also enter your Wallet in an already revealed state. This means that the gift card details have already been made available to you, most commonly in your participating loyalty program's transaction history. A gift card can only be revealed once and will stay in that state. If you send a revealed gift card, it will appear in the recipient's Wallet as revealed. The gift card is transferred to a different Wallet, but if part of the balance has been used, only the remaining amount will be available to the recipient; it is the same gift card.
